Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-07-04
SoloBooks is operated by Matteo Ferraroni, a sole proprietor based in Florida, United States. This policy explains what data we collect from visitors to trysolobooks.com, how we use it, and your rights.
1. What we collect
When you visit this site or sign up for early access, we may collect:
- Email address — if you submit the early-access form. Required to contact you about the SoloBooks launch.
- Optional survey answers — current bookkeeping tool, number of bank accounts, business type. Used only to understand our audience; never required.
- Basic analytics data — page path, referrer URL, UTM campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content), approximate IP address, and browser user-agent. Collected automatically on page load via a lightweight inline script.
We do not use cookies, browser fingerprinting, or any third-party analytics or advertising pixel on this site.
2. How we use it
- Email addresses are used solely to notify you when SoloBooks launches and to send you your founding-member offer. We will not send unrelated marketing without your explicit opt-in.
- Survey answers help us prioritize product features for the right audience.
- Analytics data (page views, UTM params, referrer) is used to understand traffic sources and measure how well our marketing is working. It is not linked to your email or shared with any third party.
3. Where data is stored
All data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the us-east-1 region (Northern Virginia, USA) using DynamoDB. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit via TLS. AWS is our sole data processor for this site.
4. Data sharing and sale
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party, advertiser, data broker, or analytics vendor. The only party with access to your data is Matteo Ferraroni (the sole operator).
5. Data retention and deletion
We retain email addresses and survey answers until SoloBooks launches and you become a paying customer (at which point data transitions to the product's privacy policy), or until you request deletion, whichever comes first.
To request deletion of your data, email matteo@trysolobooks.com with the subject line "Data deletion request." We will delete your record within 7 days and confirm by reply email.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at matteo@trysolobooks.com.
7. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
